Chess

For the last number of months, the school Chess Club has been running during lunchtimes, with boys and girls from 4th – 6th Class taking each other on in a school league. In the picture you will see the boys and girls who made it to the finals of our school league. The overall winners of our league were Adesayo in 4th Class, Sinead in 5th Class, Gabriela and Ana in 6th Class. These 4 pupils represented Little Island N.S. really well in the Cork Z competition. Unfortunately we did not win on the day, but we are very proud of their great efforts. Well done to everyone who played chess with the school this year, keep up the good work!
